Previous Seed Grant Winners
Where are they now?
In
1999,Duane Waliser of the Marine
Sciences Research Center was awarded a seed grant for his proposal,""Acquisition
of a Real-Time Satellite Receiving System for Regional Environmental Research
and Education."
The funding helped lead to the establishment of the Sound Science program which
involved BNL partnerships with Drs. Michael Reynolds and Charlie Flagg. THe
NYS Sea Grant provided the initial funding for this program and recently the
EPA has provided support. Additional information can be found on the Sound

In 2004 Dr. Waliser moved to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA and Professor Robert Wilson in the MRSC is currently the PI on the Sound Science Program.
