What if I have to return a book? If a book is damaged before you purchased it, you decided to drop the class within the first two weeks of classes, or you bought the wrong book, you are eligible for a return/refund or exchange within the first week of class. Please visit the Textbook Refund Policy for more information. How do I sell my books to the Bookstore? The Bookstore will post the days in which the Buy Back service will be available. Students can sell their books to the Bookstore provided the books are needed for the next semester and are in good condition. Visit the Buy Back Policy page for updated information. What is the difference between the Buy Back and returning a book? The Buy Back system is different from a return or refund. The Buy Back service is for students who do not wish to keep their textbooks. We will buy the book from the student provided it is in demand for the next semester. If the book is not needed for any classes for the next semester, we will not buy the book back. A return or a refund is when a student buys a book but finds a type of fault in the purchase. This includes damages to the book or if the student decided to drop the course within the first two weeks of classes. What if my textbook is not on the shelf? In most cases, the textbooks for each class should be on the shelves by the end of the first week of class. The Booktore will try their best to make sure all books arrive on-time, however, the delivery of books have a lot to do with the company that is shipping it to us. If your textbook is not on the shelf, you can contact the information desk and ask about the status of the book. If your textbook is listed on a yellow shelf tag and is not on the shelf, you may be entitled to a $5 voucher towards the purchase of the book.
