ORGANIC CHEMISTRY

Synthesis of natural products ; methods of synthesis; especially those involving regio- and stereochemical problems; synthesis and study of modified biological molecules.

Research in Professor Parker's group is focussed on the synthesis of compounds of biological interest. Goals include the development of synthetic methods, the invention of new strategies with total synthesis as the eventual goal, and the design and preparation of modified structures with predicted biological properties.
