We plan to interview a SUBSET of the all applicants from China who wish to be considered for admission in Fall 2006. Currently, two sets of interviews are planned. The 1st set are currently scheduled for Dec 22 and Dec 23 2005 in Beijing and Shanghai. A second set of interviews will be conducted in February, with locations to be announced.
Candidates who are interested in this opportunity, and who have ALREADY submitted their files to Stony Brook, should email the Chair of Graduate Admissions at chemgrad@notes.cc.sunysb.edu, indicating whether they will be
(a) available in December and
(b) whether they would prefer to come to Beijing or Shanghai.
Please include the following in the subject heading of your email: “Interviews in China”.
We will not interview all
applicants. Please note that we will consider ALL applicants carefully, even
if they are unable to attend an interview. However, early submission of your
application file will ensure that your file receives full consideration. We
will not give full consideration to files that arrive after Feb 10.
