Indoor Air Quality and Microbial Contamination
Environmental Health and Safety can conduct indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations as requested. The investigations may include industrial hygiene monitoring:
- Taking measurements of carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.
- Dry bulb temperature.
- Relative humidity.
- Illumination (lighting).
- Airborne dust.
- Observing mechanical ventilation.
There is no cost to the requesting department for the basic IAQ investigation.
Air, bulk and water samples for microbial make-up (i.e., fungi and bacteria) can also be collected and analyzed at an additional cost to the requesting department. A summary report can be prepared. Contact our department for further assistance.
