Coordinator of Student Teaching and Field Experience.  Before coming to Stony Brook, I was Full Professor of Italian at the California State University, Long Beach.  My research and teaching interests include language acquisition, Italian and world women writers, the poetry of Giacomo Leopardi, theory and practice of translation, and contemporary Italian poetry.
