New Federal Stafford and PLUS Loan Process Begins Summer 2009!
Our process for obtaining Federal Stafford and PLUS loans is changing for next year and will impact both new and continuing borrowers.

- Complete the 2009-2010 version of the FAFSA for summer 2009 and the academic year beginning fall 2009 and ending spring 2010. You might find it helpful to download and complete the optional FAFSA on the Web Worksheet prior to applying online. Stony Brook has a March 1st priority filing deadline to be considered for campus based aid programs including Perkins loans, Federal Work Study, and SEOG.
- Check SOLAR for any outstanding To Do list items.

Summer Private Loan disbursement begins.
- June 5, 2009
Summer Athletic Aid disbursement begins.
- July 1, 2009
Summer Pell Grant disbursement begins.
Summer Direct Loan disbursement begins.
Summer Federal Work Study begins.

2009-2010 academic year award packaging and notification begins for graduate students and continuing undergraduate students with a valid FAFSA on file.
