In freshman year, it is a good idea to find out about research, to get a sense of what you are interested in and idea of the wide range of research done here.

Will you do research in freshman year? Maybe not. Some educators (and researchers themselves) might say probably not.It all depends on your interest and experience. Visit the Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) web site to find out what is going on and what is required to take part.

. . . and remember--never let your grades go into free fall due to your commitment to research (or anything else). Try to maintain high quality grades!
