Welcome

Transfers are often very focused. Even though you might know exactly what you want to get out of your education, it could be a good idea to do a little exploring so that you don't miss out on the educational and extracurricular activities here.

Some transfers feel pressed for time. If you have already spent two years in college, you might be looking forward anxiously to graduation and medical school, dental school, or some other graduate program.

Even if you are in a hurry, remember that there is no substitute for a strong academic record. If one extra year of coursework would make you a superb applicant (and if otherwise your grades would be mediocre) then that extra year might be time well spent.

Choose your courses carefully and make sure to get to know some professors.
