Mission

The Academic & Pre-Professional Advising Center promotes undergraduate students' development and academic success by: providing high quality academic advising to help students grow intellectually and personally; facilitating students' academic transition into and through Stony Brook; offering proactive communication, programs, and services that engage students and foster academic connections with the diverse community of scholars and more!

What's New

  • Friday, August 31: credit limit will be raised to 19 credits.
  • Saturday, September 1: First day of Saturday classes. This includes Stony Brook West Campus, SUNY Learning Net courses offered through SBU, and Manhattan Campus.
  • Tuesday, September 4: First day of classes. This includes Stony Brook West Campus, SUNY Learning Net courses offered through SBU, and Manhattan Campus.
  • Tuesday, September 4: Late Registration begins. $40 fee applies to all students who are not enrolled in at least one course before September 4. This includes students enrolling in SPD, SPD Online, Manhattan & West Campus Classes.

Office Hours

The Center opens 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. No appointments until 10:30am on Mondays due to staff meeting.
