Patrick Grim is author of The Incomplete Universe (MIT/Bradford Books), The Philosophical Computer (MIT Press/Bradford Books, with Gary Mar and Paul St. Denis), founding co-editor of twenty volumes of The Philosopher's Annual (Ridgeview Press), and editor of two editions of Philosophy of Science and the Occult (SUNY Press). His current research is in philosophical logic (particularly non-classical logics), philosophical computer modeling in game theory and epistemology, contemporary metaphysics and ethics. His most recent articles have appeared not only in standard philosophical journals (Nous, Journal of Philosophical Logic, Philosophical Studies, Synthese, Analysis) but in scholarly journals in other disciplines: The Journal of Theoretical Biology, BioSystems, Theory and Decision, Computers and Graphics, and IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems.

Grim holds the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching, is a member of the Academy of Teacher/Scholars, and has been both a Mellon and a Fulbright Fellow.
