The Paris Study Abroad

For some 15 years now, Stony Brook has had an academic exchange program with the University of Paris which permits at least one student each year to benefit from the extensive academic resources found there. Specifically, we have formal relations with the Sorbonne (U. Paris IV), Jussieu-Denis Diderot (U. Paris VII) and Nanterre (U. Paris X). We are in standing contact with many of the leading figures in French thought and can make provisions to study at other schools such as the Ecole Nationale de Sciences Politiques, the Ecole des Hautes Etudies en Sciences Sociales, the Collège Internationale de Philosophie, and the Collège de France. A year of study and dissertation research at these institutions offers a uniquely rewarding opportunity for those who choose to participate.
