Stony Brook Physics & Astronomy: Open Hours

  • Physics and Astronomy Department Main Office and Mail Room: 
       Weekdays Only:  Open from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Physics Building: 
       Weekdays Only:  Open from Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM,
   and Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
   Weekends Only:  Open Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Sunday: 9:00 AM
   to 10:00 PM (Only the center South Plaza entrance door will be open).
    • The "Building Open" hours refer to the normal academic year, including summer semesters. Please keep in mind that generally the building is considered closed on major holidays. Other than the noted "open" hours a building key is required to enter the Physics Building.
