Stony Brook Manhattan's Forum on Global Security The challenges raised by the events of September 11 demonstrate the need for cooperative approaches to develop and implement cost-effective security plans for national and global critical infrastructures. The Stony Brook University Forum on Global Security is pioneering the effort to use research and development and information technology to protect against further terrorist attacks and disruptions and reduce their impact should they occur.
