Apicius: The Culinary Institute of Florence
Founded in 1996 as a private institution for Higher Education, Apicius is located in the historic center of Florence, a city renowned for its art, food, wine and hospitality. It is an internationally respected leader in academic, professional and career-oriented education. Its international student population enjoys unique classes held in state-of-the-art facilties.
Here, students will study Italian Cuisine and Wines. They will listen to lectures and participate in hands-on cooking classes in professional kitchens. Afterwards, students will enjoy their own creations. Wine tasting classes will be conducted by Marchesa Diletta De' Frescobaldi, family member of one of the oldest winemakers in Italy. She will also take you on a guided tour of the family owned Pomino and Nipozzano Vineyards. |
