Program Description
Shanghai exudes a cosmopolitan character marked by contemporary urban living, skycrapers of European architecture, bustling financial and industrial districts, ultra-chic commercial centers and shopping malls. Shanghai is one of the most glamorous and cultured cities in China, earning the reputation: "Paris of the East."
Beijing is the capital, and the center of politics, culture, information and the academe. It has a history as a city that can be dated back to the first millennium B.C.. Beijing successfully hosted the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Students will spend three weeks in Shanghai taking intensive Chinese language and culture courses at Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU). During the last week, students will travel and spend three days in Beijing touring major historical and cultural sites such as the Great Wall and the Forbidden City.

Eligibility
All undergraduate college students in good academic standing may apply. Language proficiency is NOT required.
Program and Tuition Fees
Program fees: Approximately $2,375, including housing, admission, excursions, local transportaion
Tuition costs: $181.00/credit for NY residents; $442.00/credit for out-of-state residents
