Course Description
This Winter Session in International Management focuses on doing business in China. Students and the instructor will travel to Nanjing, Shanghai and Beijing to meet with business and government leaders to learn first hand about doing business there. The program will consider globalization, international trade, and direct investment in foreign countries. It will then focus on the specific case study of China’s socio-cultural, economic, political, legal, labor and financial forces influencing China’s ascension in the 21st century.

Living Arrangements
Students will be housed in residences near the center of the cities. These residences provide dormitory-style rooms, restaurants, meeting rooms, and comfortable atmosphere.
Health Insurance
Stony Brook University includes international health insurance in the Program fees for graduate students. Fee will appear seperately on under-graduate solar account.
Eligibility
MBA students and some upper class business majors if space permits. All students must be in good academic standing may apply. There is NO language requirement.
Program and Tuition Fees
Program fees*: $800**. Includes room, local transportation, cultural tours and activities, as well as international health insurance for MBA students. Undergraduate students will pay an additional $79.25 for health insurance. All students must secure a Visa (for USA students the Visa cost is $130).
* Participants must pay all tuition & program fees in full by December 12, 2008.
** Does not include airfare, visa, administrative fees or international health insurance for undergraduate students
Graduate Tuition costs: $296/credit for NY residents; $473/credit for non-residents. Undergraduate costs: $181/credit for NY residents, $442/credit for non-residents.

Applications are due November 1st and are considered on a first come first served basis; applicants will be notified when accepted.
