Special International Programs

The Junior Year Abroad program offers International Students the opportunity to attend SBU for one year. During their time at SBU, the students can enroll in courses that meet their interests and majors while taking advantage of clubs and other activities on campus. Stony Brook University offers junior year abroad students a course in American Studies that allow them to enhance their knowledge of our culture.

Stony Brook Intensive English Center's Summer Program

Stony Brook University welcome international students to participate in the following summer programs:

I. Intensive English Center's Summer Program
Choice of Location: Manhattan and Stony Brook

II. Intensive English with a 3 credit Stony Brook Summer Session II course
Intensive English (Track 3) would be taught in the morning and selective Stony Brook courses would be available in the afternoon.

Students participating must have the following minimum scores:

CBT: 197 IBT:70

III. Stony Brook University Summer Session II: 6 credits
Students participating in Summer Session II must have the following minimum scores:
CBT:213 IBT:80 IELTS:6.5
