WHEN THE SEA DIES: WHAT TO EXPECT

We thought that you might want to know what to expect from When the Sea Dies. DON’T WORRY! We don’t want to tell you what to think or what to like! On the contrary, we wanted to let you know that when you experience When the Sea Dies you will have an extraordinarily UNIQUE experience! The stories that you experience in this performance are going to be extremely different from ours, and that means whatever you see, hear, and feel is exactly perfect!

- There is no correct experience.
- Un-ready yourself.

- You collaborate through your experience.
- Do not let your expectations impede.
- Permit yourself inspiration.

- You are an expert.
- When the Sea Dies is your experience.

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?

What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?
What is this, and why are they all over?

What is the point of all of these signs hanging up all over the place? Well, the dramaturgy team of When the Sea Dies wanted to give you something—the gift of moving, creating, and imagining! The collaborative process of creating When the Sea Dies was exciting not only because of performance that we created, but because of the process that involved not knowing, experimenting, throwing away material, being spontaneous, daring, going-for-it, and being wild, open, and fantastic. We felt, and we want you to feel, what it means to embody the creative arts, to create, and to play, play, play! Art does not have to limit itself to recital halls, museums, and theatre spaces; art can take place right here, right now, with you! We put up these signs to give you a starting point, to ask you some questions, to inspire you to open up your heart, mind, and spirit to the infinite creativity that is within you. So, go ahead, flip up a few arrows, and sail out into the expansive world of your creativity! Move, create, and imagine!
