Teacher - I am engaged to be married in July 2004. I teach chemistry at Brentwood High School .

Amynah Kara “Woodruddin”
Physician - I am married for 5-1/2 years, have 2 kids. - Went to SUNY Brooklyn for Medicine, graduated in 99. Did one year of medicine internship at Montefiore, and now in the middle of emergency medicine residency at Long Island Jewish. Anticipate graduating in 2003.

John P. Lynch, Jr
Physician - Married (wife Kristin) with one 3-year-old son (Cory) and another on the way. - Graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine; degree – M.D., 1999. Currently Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset , NY .

Karen Medzoyan
Psychiatrist - Karen Zak, Honors College graduate and Stony Brook Medical School graduate. Married: October 25, 1998 to Randal Medzoyan, M.D. (also a 1995 Stony Brook Medical School graduate). Both Drs. Karen and Randal Medzoyan completed their residencies at Hershey Medical Center , Hershey , PA — Karen in Psychiatry and her husband Randy in Pediatrics. They reside in Lebanon , PA and practice there as well.

Suresh Patel & Puravi Dixit-Patel
Dentists - Puravi and Suresh got married in the summer of 2000 after they both graduated from Dental School. Puravi graduated from Michigan University and Suresh graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia. We have a talkative 15-month-old baby bay named “Samir.” They own a cosmetic dental office in Bay Shore and have been practicing there for three years. They own a house in Sayville.

Krishna Satya
Emergency Medicine Physician - I recently moved to Bainbridge Island , WA which is right across the water from Seattle by ferry. I'm enjoying the great natural and inspiring beauty of Washington while enjoying the cosmopolitan comforts of Seattle . I just finished my residency in Emergency Medicine at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse , New York . I have started working at a community ER in Bremerton , WA and am enjoying my job and new life. I want to than the Honors College for its great support in helping me achieve my goals in medicine.

Letha Seraphin
Resident Physician - Letha is completing a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington DC .
