REU participants will be assigned to a faculty mentor and become fully integrated into active research groups using state-of-the-art facilities. Participants will have the opportunity to work closely with their faculty mentor, attend weekly seminars, participate in workshops and present their research results at a student symposium at the close of the program.
Participants will be placed in one of the following areas:
- Biological Chemistry
- Chemical Physics
- Inorganic Chemistry
- Materials Chemistry
- Nuclear Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Polymer Chemistry
- Theoretical/Computational Chemistry
Eligibility:
The REU Chemistry Program is open to all undergraduate students majoring in the field of chemistry. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. The State University of New York is an affirmative action, equal oportunity educator and employer. Please let us know if a disability-related accommodation is needed.
